Who We Are
The Natural Organized Woman Sorority, Incorporated (NOWSI) Mentoring Program is a trailblazing initiative that connects at-risk adolescent girls with experienced women mentors. We believe that mentorship is a powerful tool for personal and professional development, and it can play a crucial role in helping young women overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a more equitable and just society, where all women have equal access to opportunities and resources, regardless of their background or circumstances. We believe that by fostering a culture of mentorship and inclusivity, we can empower young women to become leaders who break down barriers and drive positive change in their communities.
What We Do
Through the Across Ages Program, an evidence-based mentoring initiative, we match at-risk adolescent girls with older women mentors. These mentors offer guidance and support in areas such as goal-setting, career readiness, financial literacy, and personal growth. The program also includes group activities that help the girls develop social skills and form healthy relationships with their peers.
Our Impact
Research has shown that mentoring programs like Across Ages have a profound impact on the lives of at-risk adolescent girls. Girls who participate in our program are more likely to graduate high school, attend college, and achieve economic self-sufficiency.
